How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. I have some tips and tricks to help you make delicious, fluffy omelets every single morning.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This can make your omelets look bizarrely colored. If you intend to cook your eggs immediately, it's best to use room-temperature egg.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Next, let us talk about how to mix the eggs. When mixing eggs, it is important to thoroughly beat them. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. Pour half the milk into the beaten egg mixture and then fold in the eggs. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Now carefully crack open the lid of the pan and sprinkle salt into the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
